FREE RINGTONES FOR MOBILE PHONES

i want to download some ringtones to my cell phone. being broke, i need to do it off my computer and from a free site. is it safe to download from free websites, or is there a good chance a virus will be sent to my phone?. they will not (crazy frog ringtones)

please do not say phonezoo or myxer because they do not work. please only answer if you absolutely know it works, and it is actually free. i do not want to pay monthly fees. vm customers preferred. its piratically impossible to get free ringtones with pre - paid phones. google (ringtones)

on myxertones.com they send you a text message and you have to follow the link to download the ringtone which is supposedly free. but when i had cingular it cost me like a dollar to download a free ringtone. my question is will it cost me money to download a (verizon ringtone)
